The Client: monday.com is a cloud-based platform that allows users to create their own applications and project management software. It’s also SEQ’s own go-to project management platform—so we were thrilled to work with the team on its all-hands company kickoff event in New York, which drew around 600 North American employees.

The Challenge: This three-day training conference was not only a strategic planning session, but also a rallying point to unite and energize the team for the year ahead. The goals were clear: communicate key objectives, strengthen team bonds, and boost overall motivation.

The Solution: At SEQ, we understand that environment shapes experience. Partnering with the monday.com team, we transformed a stylized raw space into an immersive, vibrant space that spotlighted the company’s signature red, yellow, and green branding. Comfort met style in areas designed for both relaxation and engagement—including a Zen Zone for recharging, a lively refreshment area, and even a professional headshot station.

Upon arrival, guests were greeted by subtle outdoor branding and enthusiastic brand ambassadors who set the tone for what was inside. Designs inspired by the brand’s logo extended throughout the space, popping up everywhere from the guests’ fabric wristbands, to the wayfinding signage, to the main stage, to columns throughout the venue. Quotes from real monday.com users adorned the space, providing meaningful reminders of the platform’s impact.

As daylight faded, the venue quickly shifted from professional to party. In just 45 minutes, SEQ flipped the space into a fun after-party scene, complete with vibrant pillows, floral arrangements, and a DJ booth that kept the brand’s palette front and center.

Entertainment was key in transitioning the mood. Guests enjoyed a glitter tattoo parlor featuring company-themed designs, along with a photo booth and live music from a DJ set and an electric instrumentalist. A roaming mentalist delivered personalized performances that left guests in awe, while caricature artists offered a fun twist by sketching personalized, whimsical portraits.

The Results: The kickoff was a huge success, with employees reporting feeling more connected to the monday.com mission and each other. The event not only aligned with the brand’s objectives but also fostered a sense of community and enthusiasm.

Feedback from the monday.com team was positive too, praising SEQ’s effort and dedication in creating an engaging and memorable experience. “We know how much effort, care, and commitment went into making it all come together, and it truly means so much to us,” wrote a member of the team. “We appreciate each and every one of you—thank you for everything!
