GumGum Activation at POSSIBLE Conference
The Client:
GumGum is a pioneer in contextual intelligence, using advanced AI to analyze everything from text and images to video—making digital advertising not just smarter, but more human. With a mission grounded in authentic connection and cutting-edge innovation, the brand knew its presence at POSSIBLE 2025 needed to deliver on all fronts.
Held April 28-30 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, POSSIBLE is one of the ad tech industry’s fastest-growing conferences. More than 5,400 senior marketers, media executives, tech leaders, and culture-makers gathered to hear from names like Mark Cuban, Martha Stewart, GumGum CEO Phil Schraeder, and more.
This marked GumGum’s second year activating at the event—and once again, the brand teamed up with Sequence Events to bring their vision to life as part of our ongoing retainer partnership.
The Challenge:
As a Platinum Partner, GumGum held one of the event’s most visible footprints: a 20×40 booth in the outdoor Expo Garden. It represented the brand’s largest trade show presence and most significant investment to date.
The goal? To drive sales, elevate visibility, and spark real engagement. GumGum’s team wanted to lean into a nostalgia theme, a creative nod to the timeless fundamentals of great marketing: connection, creativity, and fun. The challenge for Sequence was to interpret that concept in a way that felt fresh, relevant, and unmistakably on-brand.
The Solution:
Sequence designed a fully custom booth that merged retro charm with modern sophistication. The result was an immersive space that drew people in and invited them to stay, explore, and connect. Highlights included…
– Authentic vintage props like Polaroid cameras, Etch A Sketches, and View-Masters, offering tactile fun and sparking conversation
– Old-school magazines that referenced the evolution of media, reinforcing GumGum’s role in AI-powered content analysis
– Comfortable, retro-inspired furniture and photo-ready decor, transforming the booth into a welcoming social hub
– Branded Bevi water stations, keeping guests hydrated while offering a subtle, sustainable brand touchpoint
– Thoughtfully designed swag, giving guests memorable touchpoints to take home
– An exclusive VIP dinner for 27 key decision-makers and the one and only DJ Khaled
With its retro-futuristic design, the booth struck the perfect balance between past and present—mirroring GumGum’s brand values and approach to innovation.
The Results:
The activation quickly became one of the most buzzed-about spaces at POSSIBLE 2025, serving as both a high-traffic destination and a content creation hub. Some of our favorite stats?
– The booth saw 1,000+ unique engagements and non-stop traffic throughout the three-day conference.
– Decorative elements like a vintage phone booth and retro lounge furniture organically transformed into photo ops shared widely on social media.
– GumGum’s team was able to host content capture sessions—including interviews, podcasts, and social media moments—right from the booth.
– 293 attendees joined CEO Phil Schraeder’s panel, “Mindset Era in Action,” reinforcing GumGum’s position as a thought leader.
– The VIP dinner helped deepen strategic relationships—and made a splash far beyond the venue when DJ Khaled shared the moment with his 39 million followers on social media!
This activation marked a milestone in the growing partnership between GumGum and Sequence Events. From early concept development to flawless on-site execution, Sequence helped translate a bold creative idea into an experience that delivered measurable business value.
