Center for Reproductive Rights

Sequence’s relationship with the Center first began with their annual Gala in 2020. The gala was hosted by CNN commentator and Center for Reproductive Rights board member Maria Cardona. Sequence recorded Nancy Northup, President of the Center for Reproductive Rights, live in studio, which was then blended in with pre-recorded content and shared on our platform for viewers’ enjoyment. Our team created graphics, transitions and video content that helped bring the passionate stories of women who have fought for reproductive rights around the world to life on the virtual stage. Gift baskets of wine and chocolates were sent to speakers in advance and a few pushes for live fundraising from our emcee resulted in the organization surpassing their fundraising goals.

Since producing the Center’s annual gala based in New York, we have built a long-lasting relationship with this incredible nonprofit client. We have produced their LA and SF benefits, as well as their inaugural Summit, and continue to work alongside the Center to ensure all of their events are a success.

Actress, Producer, and LGTBQ+ Activist Laverne Cox emceed the LA benefit. Our team embedded a donation window into the Brandlive platform for additional fundraising tactics, we helped to build the event’s dynamic run-of-show, and our design team created the FAQ Doc and holding slides.

The 2021 New York Gala introduced a hybrid element with a live studio audience present during the filming of the gala. Our team helped to coordinate the live taping at The Greene Space with over 40 guests while adhering to Covid protocols and simultaneously managed the live stream portion of the event which had over 100 viewers. A few additional elements embedded to the virtual Brandlive platform on event day included a chat function and virtual photo booth. The gala was a success, raising over 2 million dollars and left attendees, both in-person and virtually, fully captivated by the event. We can’t wait to bring the Center for Reproductive Rights’ next event to life!
