Freelance Associate Marketing Manager (Part Time)

About You:

  • You are local to NYC/tri-state area (transportation and lodging are not provided for these roles)
  • You have 2-3+ years marketing experience as a freelancer, at an agency or on the client side
  • You have a can-do attitude with no task too big or small.
  • You are creative, tactical, a problem-solver and a self-starter.
  • You have a keen eye for detail, accuracy in organizing large data, and love spreadsheets!
  • You are punctual, reliable, and flexible.
  • You present professionally with poise and clear communication, especially when client-facing.
  • You know how to have fun, but you work hard.
About the Position:

Within the 20 hours for this part time position, these are the core areas of ownership and tasks. Expectation to get the bulk of this nailed down within the first 4-6 weeks, and for it to them take less and less weekly time – allowing additional areas of focus (see below) 

Marketing Management

– Manage projects and progress reporting via monday.com (SEQ’s project management tool)

– Liaise, as needed with Team SEQ – especially related to event coverage needs

Owning our “Universal Marketing Tracker” Sheet

– Managing updates weekly, clearly communicating status

– Follow-up with team on marketing docs, event pics, design elements

– Logging video links, and testimonials, etc.

– Syncing with Marketing team on related content creation, etc.

Content & Social Media Management

– SEQ Website – adds, updates & edits via self or designers / programmers

– Blogs – integrate into existing development and approval process (written externally)

– eBlasts – integrate into existing development and approval process

– Social Media – integrate into existing development and approval process (written externally) via HeyOrca

Photo asset management (via Air)

– Overseeing backlog of uploads, culling down image quantity, adding keywords, keeping up with new event adds

– Work with CCO on selecting bests, tagging images for social and SEQ use

Project manage award entries, including suggesting specific events / specific team members / the company for specific industry award opportunities

Project manage “white papers” and other special marketing projects, as needed

Areas for Role Growth:

Re: above, the hope would be to get the bulk of the role down, and then expand responsibilities for the role, bringing it full time as Sequence sees fit. Those areas of growth, include:

Marketing Management

– Schedule, update agenda and co-lead weekly Marketing Team meetings (via Zoom or Meet)

– Train & manage SEQ Marketing Interns in their day-to-day tasks and projects

Social Media Elevation

– Drive BTS / timely (aka on-site, etc.) social coverage, as needed

– Contribute to SEQ audience engagement and development strategies on various platforms

Tools & Assets Co-Management

– Learn, use, update and create SEQ Marketing tools, including:

– SEQ Brand Guidelines – implement adds and updates

– Marketing Templates (esp. pitch, proposal, design, etc.)

– HubSpot (CRM) – opportunities for migrating marketing management and reporting

Strategy Support & Crossfunction

– Attend and contribute to periodic Marketing + Biz Dev XFN meetings

– Attend and contribute to periodic Creative + Biz Dev XFN meetings

– Participate in SEQ Marketing strategy conversations

– Help to assess best next steps, based on available resources and impact – keeping track of future initiatives for future development

– Implement and create tracking / success assessment plan for these initiatives

Vendor Management

– Contribute to SEQ photographer approval, photo management and selection processes

– Contribute to SEQ videographer approval, video management and selection processes

Metrics & Reporting

– Ensure all Marketing-related initiatives have clear goals and KPIs

– Help to assess most valuable elements of strategy based on available resources

– Create and maintain reports based on initiatives potential and actual impacts for review

– Present findings to SEQ Marketing, and other relevant teams (CEO, Biz Dev, LEAD, etc.)
