- Support our Chief Creative Officer and Creative Department leadership on internally- and externally-facing creative and XFN projects of all types with a variety of clients and formats
- Assist with creating impressive, portfolio-worthy work for Sequence and our Clients
- Support in finding and cultivating relationships with new vendors & partners
- Start to hone clear, likable & succinct pitching skills to demonstrate in presentations to a wide range of clients and personalities
- Attention to industry trends such as events, fashion, art, design, technology and more
- Participate in Event Discovery, assessing Client’s goals, addressing KPIs within creative solutions
- Hone people management skills with CAs or Creative Interns
- Support the team in interpreting brand guidelines and ensuring client standards are upheld throughout concept development and design
- Support in transforming a physical (or digital) space, via decoration, branding, installation & rigging
- Showcase innovative and out of the box thinking, rooted in realities of budgets and other parameters
- Proposals & Brainstorming
- Assist in the creative proposal process in response to RFPs , helping to create a compelling story about SEQ and the Client’s experience
- Assist in building and formatting custom proposal decks: gathering content, coordinating visuals, and ensuring accurate, on-brand presentation and timely delivery.
- Help schedule and participate in team brainstorms, contributing ideas and capturing key takeaways
- Event Concepting
- Collaborate with CCO and Creative Team to build event concepts with a client’s strategic goals in mind
- Create conceptual mood boards & presentations with an eye for style & accuracy. This should include the ability to write compelling copy, proofread and ensure SEQ style guidelines
- Conduct research related to creative & design elements, venues, vendors, etc.
- Event Concepting
- Perform research related to creative & design elements, etc.
- Assisting in creating conceptual mood boards & deck presentations with an eye to style & accuracy
- Create mock-ups, renderings & other visual communications for Clients of creative installations, fabrication, room setups, rentals & other décor
- Event Design Projects
- With the support of the CCO and Associate Creative Manager, own the creative lifecycle on smaller projects, driving elements from concept through execution
- On larger projects, collaborate with the CCO and Creative Team on a range of deliverables, owning certain elements and contributing to the larger Creative scope at hand
- Confidently present creative concepts and event elements to internal and client teams, with an openness for feedback
- Contribute to event design budgeting including accurate projecting (with markups) and overseeing vendor payments, as needed
- Partner with graphic designers to manage project assets and feedback, coordinate print production needs, and ensure event branding is applied consistently across all creative deliverables
- Manage creative decor and furniture vendors from sourcing to execution, including pre-event communication, booking, and onsite oversight during installation and strike
- Internal Processes & Procedures

- Assist in documenting SEQ’s design processes in guides & templates whenever relevant ensuring that these are adhered to judiciously within Team SEQ
- Ensure all images and mood boards are saved to the SEQ Theme Library, Pinterest, or similar tool – cultivating a library of ideas for the entire team to access as needed
- Ensure post-event asset management process – renderings / mock-ups / key design elements to Air, updates to final Event Decks or leadership in client-facing Wrap Reports, as scoped
- XFN with SEQ Marketing re: creative event coverage & award submission opportunities
- XFN with SEQ New Biz on materials needs & proposal process
- Help to uphold and shape the SEQ visual brand, creative document layouts, SEQ swag, client gifts, and ensure brand consistency across the board on all related initiatives
- Contribute to SEQ office design & décor concepts, as budget and time allow
- 1-3 years experience in event production, brand identity and / or experiential activations, or related field
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced industry
- A creative and strategic brain for what is unique and could wow an audience
- Storytelling skills with the ability to think conceptually on a vision or set of KPI’s
- A team spirit with an ability to collaborate
- A fervent curiosity and unyielding passion for the work!
- You are local to NYC/tri-state area (transportation and lodging are not provided for these roles)
